Navy in Hawaii earns four of top CNO environmental awards

Navy installations in Hawaii have been recognized by the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) as some of the best in the Navy for environmental and cultural stewardship. Navy commands earned four of 30, or about 13.3 percent, of the CNO Environmental Awards for FY 11, according to an announcement made Feb. 22 by Vice Adm. William R. Burke, deputy chief of naval operations for fleet readiness and logistics.
