Kay/Released) April 18, 2014 - Culinary Specialist 1st Class Edward Ledbetter, of Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi's Far East Cafe, adds rice to each participant's ingredient tray during NAF Atsugi's Top Little Chef Sushi Challenge. The event consisted of nine children from Shirley Lanham Elementary School and was part of the Month of the Military Child celebration. Kay/Released) April 22, 2014 - Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi Logistics Specialist 2nd Class Shannon McGhee, of Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training, plants a new flowerbed for the NAF Atsugi Liberty Center as part of an Earth Day clean up. During the event, nearly 100 Sailors and civilians gathered to clean up trash from around the base and enjoy a barbecue. Earth Day was introduced on April 22, 1970 in an effort to raise awareness of the threat of pollution to our environment, and to promote environmental cleanliness. (U.S. Navy photo by MC3 Ryan G.      -  Commander Jason M. Denney, USN, Commanding Officer, VFA-102 - April 24
Commander Jason M. Denney is a native of Pinedale, Wyoming and a 1997 U.S. Naval Academy Graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics. Upon commissioning, he reported to NAS Pensacola, Florida where he trained as a Naval Flight Officer, receiving his wings in January 1999.  He completed Fleet Replacement Squadron training as an F-14B Tomcat RIO with the Grim Reapers of VF-101 at NAS Oceana, Virginia in March 2000.
