The Veterinary Treatment Facility is located in Building 537 on Biscayne Street near the gas station. The clinic offers veterinary preventive services including: routine pet immunizations, testing for intestinal parasites and heartworms, microchipping and minor sick call appointments.
The clinic offers a wide range of heartworm preventatives, flea control products, shampoos and other items. The sale of heartworm prevention is limited to pets that have had a negative heartworm test within the last calendar year and have been on prevention since the last test.
Housing residents may keep cats and dogs in their homes, however all animals must be registered with the veterinary clinic. All pets staying on base must have proof of current vacinations and be microchipped. They must also be spayed or neutered. Animals must be on a leash at all times unless they are in a fenced in yard.
Pets are seen at the clinic by appointment only. Veterinary service is available to pets owned by active duty and retired military members, their family members and reservists on active duty. For appointments or more information, call 542-3786.
